YOUR COACH - CERI HAND

your-coach-ceri-hand

Hello, I’m Ceri and I want to help you communicate confidently and sell your work with ease.

There isn’t a cookie-cutter blueprint for selling contemporary art. But there are a set of guideline principles that you should know, and I’ve broken them down so you can master them, and become more confident in finding a buyer and an audience for your work.

I’ve sold artworks by emerging artists like Mel Brimfield, Bedwyr Williams, Hannah Knox and Martyn Cross to established artists like John Akomfrah and Black Audio Film Collective, Angela Bulloch, Claudio Parmigianni, Paulina Olowska, Bas Jan Ader, Mary Martin, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Picasso and Henry Moore.

In this online art course I’m sharing the fundamental principles of selling and marketing contemporary art, to help you fine tune your practice, processes and sales exchanges, all from the comfort of your own home.

I’ve taken everything I’ve learned, from running and working in commercial art galleries, selling art online and at art fairs, and I’m sharing it with you throughout this online course.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

FAQS

The course is £750, taxes included

No, we request payment in full before you start the course. This means we are 100% all in from the outset and you can get immediate benefit by doing the course at lightning speed if you choose to! It also means we can keep the administrative processes streamlined, freeing us up to provide you with more help inside the Course hub.

No. We are a small but mighty team so politely request you consider whether it’s the right time and content for you before you buy. That helps us all to commit to the learning process, creating a positive and generous safe space for you to get the results you’re looking for.

You’ll have access to the Course Hub for 12 months from the moment you buy it. We’ll contact you when your access is about to expire and you can purchase again or leave the course hub. If you choose not to re-purchase the course you will be automatically removed from the course hub after 12 months.

No, there’s no limit to the number of course members. Any contemporary artist can join at any time to enjoy the course material and live group coaching sessions.

The Course content is delivered via short videos and downloadable worksheets hosted inside our Course Hub, so you can watch and download at your leisure. Ceri Hand narrates the videos with slides that have been designed to visualise and summarise some of the key points being shared.

Not at all! This course has been created with ‘ever-green’ information, meaning that all video content and worksheets are continually relevant to all members no matter when they join. The monthly coaching sessions will be recorded, so anyone can watch the content at any time. The live sessions will cover all questions posted in advance, so you can ask your relevant questions no matter when you start the course.

This is a self study course so you can go at your own pace, so it will differ for everyone. We recommend you listen to the Modules once or twice, spend time completing the worksheets, and then implement. You can pause during your busy weeks, listen to the modules on the go, and revisit a lesson if you’re feeling stuck. If you want to build audiences for your art and sell more work, we would recommend you put 2 hours per week aside to watching the course videos, using the worksheets and implementing the learnings. We know that artists who sell work often and have a bigger audience for their work dedicate a minimum of two hours each week to the process.

The course hub has an amazing chat forum where you can get inspired and champion your peers’ wins and successes. You can also view a list of members to make connections and help stay in touch.

No, but you can post a question directly to Ceri and then jump on the monthly LIVE Group Coaching sessions to hear her feedback.

LIVE Group Coaching sessions are held on the last Wednesday of each month. All the event times and dates are listed inside the Course Hub. We alternate the times at 9am (GMT) and 6pm (GMT) so busy artists all over the world can attend. If you can’t attend the coaching call, you can watch the replay afterwards in your own time. You can still ask your question in advance of the live session and Ceri will aim to answer it during the session, so you can watch on replay.

There is currently no limit to people attending the sessions but we will be monitoring numbers very closely to ensure the sessions are valuable to everyone and all questions are covered. We’ll inform course members about any updates to the format of the live group coaching sessions via the feed in the course hub.

Yes. The How to Price and Sell Your Art course is designed to give artists a better understanding of the commercial context of the art world and practical tips on how to market and sell your artwork. After you’ve signed up to the course, you’ll be invited to join the Mighty Networks platform, which is how we host all of the content. It’s an industry leading community platform designed to host courses and content to help members meet other peers and create real change in their community. It’s simple and easy to use and we have plenty of guidance to help you access everything you need.

The main course content is available for you to dig into at anytime, but as your 12 months access to the course starts from the moment you purchase it, you would miss out on access time and potentially some of the monthly live group coaching sessions with Ceri, if you don’t engage straight way.

Yes. We are sharing the fundamental principles of selling and marketing contemporary art, so there will be lots of content that will help you fine tune your studio practice, processes and sales exchanges.

Yes! Ceri shares her experience of the contemporary art world, but we recognise there are many different artworlds. We are confident the content in this course would be useful whatever kind of artist you are. It may be that you want to update your website, grow your social media profile or understand the sales protocol to apply to your own sales process. There’s plenty for you to learn and implement in order to start growing your audience and sales online.
