Lives & works in London, UK
As a creative mentor and bid writer, my background lies in both commercial galleries and non-profit arts organisations, as well as larger businesses like Work Show Grow and Second Home. I spent three wonderful years supporting creative practitioners with neurodiversities, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other disabilities, both visible and invisible. I love the written word, and bring a decade of experience as a journalist and copywriter. There are certainly stories to tell of my time with Bonhams Auction House, AnOther Magazine, HERO, and Open Space Contemporary, as well as independent clients like visual artist Mattea Perrotta. I have built my own consulting platform, Working With, to channel my 10+ years of experience in arts and culture into supporting creative practitioners, organisations, communities and collectives. I am also the Editor at Large (London) for Autre, the Los Angeles-based international arts and culture magazine. If you haven’t read it yet, do have a look and tell me what you think.
“It is important for me to get to know you; delving into your creative practice, the journey you have been on so far, all of your achievements, and any failures you might have faced.”

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
LARA'S MENTORING EXPERIENCE
As a mentor, I offer advice to both neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals on defining, researching, planning and executing innovative cultural activities – or in other words, one-off projects, festivals, exhibitions and events. I also help build audiences, access new networks and establish brilliant partnerships. I help identify possible sources of funding to increase and diversify income streams, and problem solve how best to approach funding bodies.
